Class action settlement by GIS

Tyus (the plaintiff) alleged that General Information Solutions improperly reported old, non-criminal ordinances in his record, in breach of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).
 
The ordinance violation was non-violent and more than seven years old. Tyus received a settlement of $704,000.
