Singapore emerged as the fourth most attractive location in the world for professionals to relocate to

Singapore emerged as the fourth most attractive location in the world for professionals to relocate to, beating Asian rival Hong Kong which came in eighth. The top three most popular destinations were USA, UK and Australia.

The report by Hydrogen titled: Global Professionals on the Move 2013, revealed that Singapore has also come in second for finance, and third for technology. The country has solidified its position as a major hub for oil and gas, energy, and commodities and banking, continuing to attract workers from abroad. With its highly developed industries and excellent quality of life, Singapore is known worldwide as a great location for expats to move to.

The rising value of Asian professionals with international experience is a new feature of the global market in professional skills. Some 66% of global professionals who responded said their employers rated international experience as important or very important. An overwhelming 98% of respondents who had relocated, recommended the experience, and 86% said they wanted to stay longer.
