Verifile ensure safe email communications by becoming early adopters of BIMI
At Verifile, the security of your data is of paramount importance to us. That’s why we invest so heavily in technology and data security.
Although we hold all applicable certifications such as ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus and PCI DSS, we believe this is not enough. We continually enhance our practices to ensure the security of our platform and communications remains at the highest level.
I am delighted to announce, as part of our email security strategy, we are implementing additional measures to ensure that our domain Verifile.co.uk cannot be impersonated easily by cybercriminals.
We are implementing BIMI, a new standard that adds another layer of security to our email communications.
What is BIMI?
BIMI (Brand Indicators for Message Identification) is a standard that enables companies to attach their trademarked logo to authenticated emails.
In practice, it means going forward all emails received from the Verifile domain will include our logo in the contact space as shown in the image below.
So, if an email appears in your inbox bearing our logo, you’ll instantly know it can be trusted.
Phishing, spoofing and fraudulent emails are unfortunately on the rise. As more companies adopt BIMI, fraudulent emails will stand out in your inbox as they won’t bear a credible logo.
Right now, BIMI is only supported on some platforms, such as Gmail and Apple iOS-16, but it’s gaining in popularity all the time, which can only be good news for both consumers and businesses.
