What can we check?
FCA (Financial Conduct Authority)
Seearch of the Financial Services Register to establish the status of a candidate with the Financial Conduct Authority. The search will provide basic details such as current status, permissions reference number, permissions, disciplinary history and waivers.
SDTR (Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal)
Check to establish if records are held by the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal of findings or orders made against the candidate. The check covers section 41 (for Solicitors) and section 43 (for non-Solicitors) of the Solicitors Act 1974.
SRA (Solicitors Regulation Authority)
Check to establish if records are held by the Solicitors Regulation Authority of findings or orders made against the candidate. Under section 41 (for Solicitors) and section 43 (for non-Solicitors) of the Solicitors Act 1974, a validation is requested to confirm the status of the candidate, if they are registered on the roll of solicitors and hold a practising certificate.
EUSR (Energy and Utility Skills Register)
A search of the Energy and Utility Skills Register (EUSR) to confirm the candidate’s registration and all avaiable information from the register including current endorsements.
A search of the Gas Safe register. Verification of registration for domestic and non-domestic purposes for gas engineers. The search will confirm whether a match can be found and all available information from the register.
HSE (Health and Safety Executive)
A search of the Health and Safety Executive database of enforcement notices.
NRSWA (New Roads and Street Works Act)
Validation of a Street Works card via the Street Works Qualifications Register.
A FACIS® (Fraud and Abuse Control Information System) search identifies any wrong actions of individuals and entities in the health care field using data sources from the United States including the FDA and DEA. Actions include information on disciplinary actions ranging from exclusions and debarments to letters of reprimand and probation. This check is ideal for doctors, nurses, students on clinical placement and other trained medical staff.
There are 3 levels of check available:
- Level 1: We search the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) and General Services Administration (GSA) and other federal sources. This search meets the US government’s minimum requirements as outlined in the OIG’s Compliance Program Guidance.
- Level 2: We search OIG/GSA and other federal sources, in addition to sources from an individual state of your choice. This search meets the minimum federal requirements and provides limited state-licensure protection.
- Level 3: We search OIG/GSA and other federal sources, in addition to over 800 sources from all 50 US states. While this search exceeds minimum federal requirements, it offers full coverage for a high-level risk management policy.
Fitness and Propriety Declaration
A self-declaration questionnaire covering a range of questions including credit issues, directorships and convictions. Three different versions are available. At a cost Verifile can also deliver a bespoke questionnaire to suit specific client needs.
