Singapore ranked second in global talent competitiveness
Singapore continues to be an attractive proposition for the brightest global talents. According to the fourth edition of the Global Talent Competitiveness Index (GTCI) by business school INSEAD, Singapore ranked second.
The GTCI is an annual benchmarking report that measures the ability of nations to compete for talent. Switzerland sat at the summit of the rankings, with Singapore in second place.
Several key patterns were deduced from this year's index, including technology and hyper-connectivity are altering the nature of work, it is imperative to think beyond automation and it's not solely about technology, and technical skills along with social and project capabilities are essential for the new talent profile since innovation increasingly derives from collaboration.
