This check establishes if an individual has a criminal record.

This check provides what is referred to as a Judicial Record Certificate or Adli Sicil Kaydı or Sabıka Kaydı. If a criminal record is identified, the following information will be provided: • Conviction • Date of conviction • Court • Reference • Criminal act • Type of punishment The categories of criminal conviction listed on a criminal record certificate in Turkey are: • Violence against the person (Kişilere Karşı Suçlar) • Sexual offences (Cinse Dokunulmazlığa Karşı Suçlar) • Burglary (Haneye Tecavüz) • Robbery (Soygun) • Theft and handling of stolen goods (Gasp) • Fraud and forgery (Dolandırılıcık ve Sahtecilik) • Criminal damage (Mücrim Zarar) • Drug offences (Uyuşturucu Suçları) • Motoring offences (Trafik Güvenliğini Tehlikeye Sokma) Convictions are removed from an individual’s criminal record when: • The offence is no longer a crime • After 80 years have passed
