This check establishes if an individual has a criminal record.
What does it check?
This check establishes if an individual has a criminal record.
This check provides what is referred to as a Certificate of Criminal Records.
All criminal convictions are listed on a criminal record certificate. Convictions remain on record after completing the sentence for the following periods:
- 3 years if convicted of a minor crime
- 5–8 years if convicted of a serious crime
- 10 years if the individual is a dangerous repeat offender
