What does it check?

We check civil and criminal court records to establish whether an individual has been involved in litigation and whether a company the individual was associated with has gone bankrupt.

Court searches are conducted based on records published online by the Supreme Court
(Mahkamah Agung) and applicable District Courts (Pengadilan Negeri), Commercial Courts
(Pengadilan Niaga) and Special Corruption Courts (Pengadilan Tindak Pidana Korupsi-
Tipikor). Supreme Court records date back five (5) years or more and include appeals
against civil and criminal judgments as well as Commercial Court and Tipikor judgments.
District Court records generally date back three to five (3-5) years and include details of
civil and criminal cases. A limited number of Commercial Court and Tipikor judgments are
also published on relevant District Court websites, Central Jakarta District Court and
designated District Courts located in Makassar, Medan, Semarang and Surabaya.
