What does it check?

• Employer’s name and address
• Period of employment
• The position held
• The reason the candidate left (where available)

A basic character assessment will also be obtained from the employer, wherever possible.

How long does this service take?
Using Verifile’s online system, employers will automatically be sent an email or fax form to return. Response times vary, as Verifile is dependent on the employer’s participation. We aim to give you a response within 5 working days — but if we cannot achieve that, we will let you know why.

How much does it cost?
£13.56 per employer.

There is no limit to the number of employer references you can check. The more past employers you check, the clearer a picture you will build about an individual, helping you identify any gaps and discrepancies in a CV.
