Our primary data sources:
Electoral Roll
We utilise the edited version of the Electoral Roll to confirm
address history.
Previous Applications
Provide an insight into how many credit searches have been
conducted against the individual.
Detect
Allows us to screen any undisclosed addresses for detrimental
information.
Companies House
Data is filed at Companies House by all UK limited companies
in return for their 'limited' status. Directors’ details
are received and updated onto the database on a daily basis.
Adverse Data
County Court Judgments, Bankruptcy Orders and Voluntary Arrangements
are collated from a number of sources including the Local
County Courts, the London & Edinburgh Gazettes, the Belfast
Gazette and the Registry Trust.
Direct Contact
Information is collated via direct contact with employers,
educational establishments and professional bodies. This is
particularly useful when building a picture of the applicant's
history.
Criminal Records
Verifile is a registered umbrella body under the Criminal
Records Bureau. This entitles us to countersign applications
on behalf of organisations and individuals.
Keeping our data up-to-date
Verifile’s website is updated on an on-going basis in
order to keep our information current and accurate, and fulfil
our legal obligations as a data provider. Amendments are made
monthly by our team of dedicated data entry specialists, or,
in some cases electronically. Strict quality control procedures
are in place to ensure all data is rigorously checked for
accuracy.
